They told me to make a shoe in illustrator. I’m proud of this because most other people in my class kinda just traced existing shoes and changed the colors. I made this from scratch. I did take some elements from a car though. Can anyone guess?
Not sure about the sole yet. Also please critique, this isn’t due until the end of the day so I can make changes as needed. Also bare in mind this is my first project where I’ve had to come up with my own idea, all previous ones were really just about Illustrator technique.

The shoe looks good! It seems like an Adidas version of the Puma Formula 1 shoes.

Thanks! I started basing it off the LFA and the only remnants are the tail light shape and the little thing on the bottom that’s shaped like the exhaust.

Hi there! I’ll just give some technical feedback. The outline in the top image doesn’t seem quite right. On the top of the foot, the yellow bit is a bit too straight. It doesn’t follow the natural foot shape. Although, after a quick image search, I might be wrong.
Looks cool! I have no idea what your automotive influence is though. Racing shoe?

It started as an LFA for your foot but evolved past that with many revisions. I see what you’re saying with the foot shape but also see a similar shape with other shoes. I might try and change it. Thanks for the feedback!

Looks pretty cool. The colors are a bit outlandish, but for a project, that’s perfect! Great job.

You’re welcome. People are reluctant to give constructive criticism. Nobody had given you any feedback, so I thought I would just give my first impressions (however wrong they might be).
I just gained some insight into shoes by looking at the shapes of shoe lasts. I never appreciated that a shoe could be made in a non-anatomical shape and still fit normally. With other clothing that’s pretty obvious, but with shoes I never thought about it.
